vancouver is on fire

for me, the hockey season is over once the rangers are eliminated but once i hear talk of possible rioting im right back in the spirit of things. as much as i dont like rooting for boston teams, i cant say no to seeing some riot footage. canada is famous for destroying their own cities after championship games. whether they win or lose, a car or two will probably get flipped over and set on fire and a few stores are bound to be looted. here are some of the best photos ive found of the riot last night after the canucks lost in game 7.

you mad bro?

out of everything you could possibly steal from a department store, this guy only wanted a mannequin on its period

"hey guys, im here for the riot"

if your gonna light a cop car on fire, wear a mask brother

i cant wait to see what happens when something important happens in canada

'Jersey Shore' cast appearance: Arrests and near riot in Montclair
By Anthony Venutolo/The Star-Ledger
January 24, 2010, 6:53PM

'Hoping to meet their favorite "Jersey Shore" castmate, thousands of fans lined the streets in Montclair where the new reality stars were appearing at 501 Lounge. Almost 2000 fans descended upon the intimate nightclub, that only has a capacity for 800.

Snooki, Ronni, Sammi, Vinny, J-Woww, Pauly D. and The Situation know how to bring the crowds.

"They had crowds much larger than they could control," David Sabagh, Montclair's police chief told The Star-Ledger. "They had 600 upstairs, 200 to 300 downstairs and 400 outside. ... There were fights inside and fights outside."

Responding to ads touting to "Meet the Jersey Shore Cast," a multitude of fans pressed against the entrance of the busy Bloomfield Avenue establishment.

By 10:30 p.m., Montclair Police closed the thoroughfare between Park Street and North Fullerton Avenue for a couple of hours. A fire engine was even parked in the middle of the street along with several police cruisers up and down the boulevard.

Ultimately, four people were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and drunken driving, Sabagh said.

Roughly a dozen Montclair police were called with backup from the Essex County Sheriff's Department and police in neighboring Glen Ridge, he said.'

i was so ready to go to this shit because i knew it was gonna be hilarious and some wild shit would go down but figured it was gonna be packed by the time we wouldve got there so we all bailed. i read this now im insanely bummed that i missed such a rad event hah. those dudes will probably get desperate for attention soon and pop up at dive bars across the state so im sure ill get another chance to party with those clowns and get my riot on

i wish i were around during the time when riots and protests broke out for more appropriate reasons that people were actually passionate about, but this shit is so god damn funny to me
