soundstation
yesterday, the absolute realest shop in my hometown burned down. bob and liz sold me tons of cds and got me into a lot of new music throughout my childhood and high school years. its seriously such a bummer to know that future generations of kids growing up in new jersey might not be able to have this shop. if you have ever been to soundstation or just want to show some respect for local business run by genuine people doing what they love, please donate anything you can to help get these guys back on their feet.

irene damage
i work over near manville and everyone was saying that it got flooded and they couldnt get to work, i had no idea it was this bad though. i live about 20 miles east of there and we barely got hit at all. it rained a shitload and we lost power for a couple hours and the basement flooded, but thats nothing compared to this shit. i got off easy, even the town over from us got swamped and half my area still doesnt have power.

more of dirty mac at rutgersfest
here are some photos of our buddy Dirty Mac rocking some grimy goods at rutgerfest 2011. its pretty funny to me that 30,000 people got to see the new charlie fiend shirt before i even got a chance to since i was away when all the new shirts came in, ill take it though. this is also gonna be the last rutgersfest ever due to all of the violence, stabbings, and shootings that occured this year which is kind of a bummer but if there just gonna keep booking shit acts like pitbull ill get over it.

Weekend Jams- Young Zee and Mr Green
young zee and mr green - i love it
feel good jam of the century. young zee used to have a warehouse 20 minutes away from where i live and would have some dope parties/shows there but it got shut down apparently. the first time i went there we pull into some sketchy driveway in the hood and were like "yo this cant be right" then we come around the building and zee is doing wheelies on an atv across the parking lot and we knew then that that night was gonna rule. it did. new jersey stand the fuck up.

rock steady for life
the absolute dopest free show imaginable. epmd, big daddy kane, lords of the
undeground, artifacts, pacewon, immortal technique, krs one. so ridiculous.

pineapple juice, amaretto, vodka

pred was the most hood kid at the show. fried chicken, pink lemonade, and a thuggin ass outfit

best trick contest

i think this kid won with a double kickflip

skate jam

nicely done

a mustache, a prime grime shirt, a steve kuza and immortal technique

not just anyone can drive a car like this. you gotta be a black muslim wearing a bullet proof
vest who stands on your stoop from 12-9 making sure no shit goes down outside your crib.

jerk chicken, mac and cheese and collared greens.
i wish i could take a picture of how good this tasted.

some beach shots
im kind of bummed i only brought my camera out one night
because i didnt get as many photos as i wouldve liked

our house was kind of in the hood. the house was mad nice but we had to walk down this one block of straight slums to get to the beach. jamaican and mexican dudes on there porches all night blasting music trying to sell us drugs.

the house was real nice though. 3 floors, 2 blocks from the beach, backyard, balconies and only $325 a night and it fit 10 people no problem

someone before us left sick shit on the grill. fucked up our bbq for a little.

portuguese fest

blackout

last year i brought a backpack full of budweiser but all they served was corona, heinekin, and coors light so i couldnt drink my beers. i didnt make that mistake again

if i remember correctly this is how this conversation went, "can you take a picture of us with your nice camera? how much would you charge to do a photoshoot with me? ill let you see me naked." the guys they were with werent happy

the berg and kuza

dude knows a thing about flair

kids an animal

dude was standing behind me in the line for the bathroom and there were only two urinals so everyone was pissing on this one wall instead and it made a puddle of piss right where you had to stand in line. this guy had on sandles and i let him know that he was standing in piss and he found me 20 minutes later and was so excited to show me he changed into some vans slip ons.

then we chilled for a little and drank sangria

the portuguese fest lining up with the world cup is like the perfect storm of parties

they truly love soccer
